Shocking footage captured on iPhone shows the heartbreaking moment when Kris Jenner broke down in tears following a heated argument with Kanye West.
The footage came from the new documentary about the rapper, In Whose Name? which premiered in the United States over the weekend.
The documentary, which hasn’t been authorised by the rapper, was shot over the course of six years almost entirely on iPhone.
The 3,000 hours of footage has been edited down into the documentary, with the director retaining creative control of the entire project, meaning Kanye wasn’t able to have an input on how he has been portrayed.
He told the Los Angeles Times: “I didn’t make this to tell a story of descent or unraveling. I made it to tell a beautiful, deep story of an American figure.
“We live in such a headline-based society, so I believe this is the body text underneath those headlines. I’m not trying to persuade anyone. I want it to be like a Rorschach test.”
One particular moment from the documentary has left people in shock, with a particularly heated fight between Kris Jenner and Kanye West being captured.
The tension kicked off when she questioned him about his stance on medication and mental health, with Kanye yelling: “Y’all demasculated me and made me feel like a piece of s**t.
“And the only reason you got away with it is because I was medicated. I would rather be dead than to be on medication.”
He continued: “No one from this family has taken any responsibility for my hospital visit, but if you wanna go online, that’s 50 per cent of what people are saying at least. Am I lying?”
Kanye started screaming at Kris that “it doesn’t matter” who tearfully responded: “It matters to us. It matters to us, and you. It doesn’t matter what the internet says. It matters what we think, Ye.”
He continued yelling at her in response, screaming: “So what do you think? Did you have an effect on my mental health?”
Kris replied through tears: “Yes, I’m saying yes. And I love you. I don’t want you to be not perfect. I love you. And I want my daughter to love you the way you want her to love you.”
