
‘You’ll be missed’: MAFS cast members pay tribute to Lachlan Rofe after his unexpected death
'He was a great, genuine guy, easy-going and always there for a laugh'
Former MAFS Australia cast members have been leaving tributes to Lachlan Rofe after the season one groom unexpectedly passed away earlier this week.
47 year old former MAFS groom Lachlan Rofe was found “unresponsive” in his house around 10am on Tuesday morning, and despite paramedics best efforts they were “unable to revive him.”
His death is currently being investigated by the police, who stated: “Emergency services were called to a home in Razorback, where they found a man unresponsive. Ambulance paramedics commenced CPR but they were unable to revive him.
“Investigations are continuing into the circumstances and anyone with any information is urged to contact Camden Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”

Tributes from other former MAFS Australia cast members have come in this week, with Ryan Donnelly and Lachlan’s co-star Michael O’Dea paying their respects.
Ryan wrote: “Wow, that’s tragic. I was born in Camden, very sad to lose a local so young RIP.”
Michael told Yahoo News that he’s it’s “very sad news” and that Lachlan will be missed.
He commented: “So sad to hear about the passing of my MAFS mate Lachy. He was a great, genuine guy, easy-going and always there for a laugh. You’ll be missed, mate.”
Lachlan starred in the first season of MAFS Australia in 2015 where he was couples up with Clare Tamas. On decision day they decided to stay together however the pair split one year after the show finished filming.
He told A Current Affair: “Clare and I are no longer together. While ever it was good, while there was good times there was also some times that weren’t good.”

He also appeared on the Australian reality TV show, Farmer Wants a Wife one year after Married at First Sight.
Lachlan connected with Belinda Reid on the show, however less than 24 hours after the finale aired the pair revealed that they had already split up.
He told TV Week that their relationship suffered because of the long distance, saying: “We were trying back and forth and spoke on the phone all the time, but the distance makes it really hard.”
He also came under scrutiny in 2017 when he was found guilty of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Casey Williams, in front of her daughter.
He was placed on a 12 month good behaviour bind but later appeared the conviction, with a magistrate overturning the guilty verdict.
He explained to Channel Seven at the time: “Being a man of principle, I chose to clear my name. I’m too scared to even go see women ‘cos I just feel with everything that’s happened, I just feel like I’m a target.”
