Everyone’s talking about the Katie Price effect, but what on earth does it mean?
The queen of British pop culture always manages to slay
The Katie Price effect is in full swing, and everyone’s talking about it on TikTok, but what does it actually mean? Well, ever since she became famous, people have become obsessed with her. Whatever she does, everyone somehow finds a way to have her back.
So if you’ve seen this theory floating about social media, it basically means that she is so powerful that she has a consistent loyal following no matter what she does. She’s essentially lost most ability to ever get cancelled, despite multiple controversies she’s faced.
She’s particularly known for the tens of thousands she’s spent on plastic surgery, and while other people get ridiculed and criticised for getting filler and cosmetic procedures, Katie surpasses all of that backlash because loads of her followers continue to support her.

Other big-time British reality stars like Molly Mae have essentially gotten slack for far less than what Katie’s done in her lifetime, but she always gets away with it. At one point, when rumours came out that she owed money, people claimed she’d lent it to them.
One TikTokker said that there’s “something about Katie Price that is so chaotic and likeable that is so realistic yet it’s not realistic because she’s had substance problems and been held at gunpoint and had a traumatic childhood, yet we love her.”
Perhaps the pinnacle point to the Katie Price effect was highlighted when Katherine Ryan interviewed her on her podcast, claiming that she can “do no wrong in her eyes” – and many of us agreed. No matter what Katie does, the public still can’t help but love her.
Having met her myself, she without a doubt has all eyes on her at multiple events, as people are immediately drawn to the Pricey. Part of it is because she is so honest about the procedures she has done, as well as the incidents that have happened in her life.
