Here’s the real reason Vanessa Lachey isn’t hosting Perfect Match with her husband Nick
They're joined at the hip on Love Is Blind
Vanessa Lachey always hosts Love Is Blind with husband Nick, but she’s nowhere to be seen on Perfect Match. Everyone’s asking about where his wife is, as they usually come together as a presenting duo, a little bit like Ant and Dec but on Netflix.
The truth is, Vanessa doesn’t host Perfect Match with Nick because of her busy schedule. There’s a few scheduling conflicts, and during the first season, her role as Special Agent Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawaii kept her busy during season two filming.
Vanessa joined the cast of NCIS Hawaii in 2021, playing the first female lead agent in the show. NCIS Hawaii has subsequently been cancelled after three seasons, but Nick told People Vanessa “couldn’t make it happen” but did admit he “misses her” while hosting.
Nick is still “thrilled to be able to do it by himself,” and Vanessa feels the same! She misses him when he’s busy filming, but doesn’t really mind the starfishing in bed all by herself. Just a few weeks ago, they celebrated 19 years together and 14 years married.
In July, Nick and Vanessa were voted for the Netflix Hosts With The Most, which Mark L. Walberg ended up winning. Their love story goes back years, as they got engaged in 2010, were married by 2011, and now have three children together.
They also host The Ultimatum, but three Netflix shows on the roster would be too much for Vanessa! They’re always open about their own relationship, with Vanessa admitting she gave Nick an ultimatum after five years of dating each other, as she wanted marriage and kids.
