Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards joined OnlyFans after seeing the success her daughter, Sami, was having on the platform.
Denise quickly started earning millions per month on the adult platform, with Sami also sharing similar success.
Sami told PEOPLE about her experience on the OnlyFans, explaining: “It’s been really rewarding being my own boss and making my own hours and being able to do the things I’ve always wanted to do.”
However, she hadn’t been immune to backlash, something which “bothered” Denise. She admitted: “It bothered me that Sami was getting backlash for owning her own sexuality and her being a woman and doing what she wanted to.”
As for why Denise Richards decided to join OnlyFans following RHOBH, she admitted it was because she was already seen as a “sex symbol.”
She elaborated to Bustle: “When Wild Things came out, it was a very positive movie for my career, but I’m sure a lot of people had a personal opinion, too.
“Then after that, you’re perceived as a sex symbol, and the things you do are perceived [as] sexual. So that’s why I wanted to join OnlyFans, because I was like, ‘Who cares?’”
Drawing on her own experiences as a ‘sex symbol’, Richards told the publication: “It bothered me that Sami was getting backlash for owning her own sexuality and her being a woman and doing what she wanted to.”
As for the strict rule both Sami and Denise have vowed to follow through their OnlyFans journey? Well, it’s to make sure they never look at each others pages, saying “we draw a line there.”
