Here’s the real reason Kourtney Kardashian is distancing herself from the family
People first picked up on her absence at Jeff Bezos' wedding
Kourtney Kardashian has been distancing herself from her family, and it’s not exactly a huge surprise, because she’s always been a wild card for whether she’ll finally leave The Kardashians and lap up marital life with husband Travis Barker instead.
While the reason why she skipped Jeff Bezos‘ wedding was down to spending time with her children, a source has now said Kourtney is stepping back from the spotlight, despite having literally had her entire life documented on national television for years.
One main reason that she’s now distancing herself from her OG family is that her priorities have changed. She’s openly spoken about how she’s a stay-at-home mother who wants to work less – a far different mindset to her billionaire sister, Kim Kardashian.
Since she married Travis and blended their families, it’s no secret that Kourtney is happier than ever and less bothered about being famous. As per Star Magazine, Kourtney now wishes to have a lowkey lifestyle away from the spotlight of the Kardashian family.
The publication’s insider revealed, “Kourtney’s been distancing herself for a while now, and she’s way happier for it. She’s not interested in being part of the circus anymore. She’s all for looking glam when the time is right, but she’s leaned into a more grounded lifestyle.”
When Kourtney welcomed her and Travis’ first child together, Rocky, into the world, she decided that the time was right to become more private. The insider also stated Kourtney’s “priorities have totally shifted and is focusing on family, not worrying about how she looks.”
The source also said Kourtney “believes her sisters would be happier, too, if they followed her lead.” Her Instagram feed focuses solely on Travis and their families together, with only a few snippets here and there of her sisters and original family.
