Here’s how Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are coming for The Kardashians empire
The crossover I never expected
Right, so Kim Kardashian and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney have some healthy competition. Basically, he’s just launched a new documentary called Welcome to Wrexham, as the co-owner of Wrexham Football Club alongside Ryan Reynolds.
Basically, we never expected actor Rob to randomly pick a fight with Kim, but here we are. Basically, The Kardashians have landed just one spot above them on the reality show list in Australia, having just launched documentary Welcome to Wrexham.
It’s won eight Emmy awards, is the number one most watched docuseries in FX history and, because the show is going to Australia and New Zealand, in Australia it’s the second most-popular reality docuseries behind the Kardashians.
Back in 2021, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought Wrexham Football Club in a random turn of events, and of course, it’s a lot more than just a sports club, because it now has its own reality show, premiering on August 7 on FXX and Hulu.
Eva Longoria is even featured on the documentary, and some may argue that the two co-owners helped get the club to the success it has today – just one spot from joining the Premier League! In just four years, the club made it to the Championship League.
Another thing that could be argued is that just having Ryan and Rob’s names as the co-owners has attributed to its huge leap of success in the last few years. And as for The Kardashians being the reality TV icons, Kim and co may just have to watch this space.
As it turns out, Kim is pretty pally with Ryan’s wife, Blake Lively, while he’s openly discussed the Kardashian baby boom back in 2o18. “Can someone settle an argument between me and my priest? Which Kardashians are pregnant?” he asked.
