All the RuPaul’s Drag Race queens who were removed from the show and the shocking reasons why
There has been some very controversial behaviour
Over the years various queens have been removed from RuPaul’s Drag Race, and sometimes for very controversial reasons and behaviour.
From violating rules to legal issues, let’s have a look at every single RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant who’s been removed from the show and the shocking reasons why.
Sherry Pie

Sherry Pie was removed from season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race after five young actors claimed that they posed as a casting director and asked them to do embarrassing things on camera.
Joey Gugliemelli released a statement, apologising for all the “trauma and pain” caused by their actions.
They wrote: “I want to start by saying how sorry I am that I caused such trauma and pain. I know that the pain and hurt that I have caused will never go away and I know that what I did was wrong and truly cruel.”
Willem

Willem was asked to leave the competition “immediately” by RuPaul, after she claimed he had broken the rules of the show.
During the season four finale, Willem told viewers that she was removed from RuPaul’s Drag Race for receiving “conjugal visits” from her husband, however this was later revealed to be fake.
Following a later interview, Willem revealed that this was a scripted reason provided by the producers, with the real reason being that Willem had violated the rules of the show.
These rule breaks included smoking weed, entering restricted areas and stealing props.
Adore Delano

Adore actually removed herself from the competition in episode two, after harsh critiques from Michelle Visage and guest judge Raven-Symoné.
Adore realised she didn’t feel mentally prepared to be put under such scrutiny again and decided to leave the show.
During a reunion episode, Adore admitted she felt “embarrassed” about her decision to leave, but clarified in a comment: “I don’t regret walking off.
“I am saying here that I regret saying ‘YES’ to coming on the season in the first place because I would have saved everyone the disrespect and myself the embarrassment.”
Veronica Green

Out of all the controversial reasons queens have been removed from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Veronica Green, who appeared in season two of the UK series, has to have had the saddest one.
Veronica was described as a “triple threat” and was hugely popular, but sadly had to be removed from the show after she tested positive for Covid-19.
She described at the time: “I was utterly devastated. Once I stopped crying I was just numb. I didn’t know how to process the information. That’s it, the journey’s done, game over.”
