Nic reveals he ‘strongly considered’ quitting Love Island USA with Cierra when she was removed
He admitted the reasons behind her departure were 'very vague'
Nic has admitted that he was very “strongly considering leaving” alongside Cierra after her sudden removal from the Love Island USA villa.
Unbeknownst to Nic, who explained the reasons for her sudden exit were “very vague”, Cierra was removed from Love Island USA following resurfaced screenshots of her using a slur.
During an appearance on the Chicks in the Office podcast, Nic revealed: “I was definitely strongly considering leaving. It was a completely normal day; she just left.
“And I was brought and told she was gone. I think it was for some sort of personal reasons. Very vague, was never told the details of anything.”
Nic explained that the strangeness behind Cierra’s exit on the show is what made him stay in the villa, as he assumed that her departure wasn’t for positive reasons.
He added that he didn’t want to associate himself with whatever she had said or done, and has admitted that finding out what she did has been “overwhelming” for him.
He clarified: “I told myself, ‘If whatever is happening in the outside world is something I don’t align with, then [leaving with Cierra] could be perceived as me supporting that.
“So I gave myself the chance to stay in the villa. And coming out now, seeing what it is … I can have a better perception on it, and come into the space with more knowledge to think about it.
“It’s been a lot, it’s been overwhelming, and I’m still taking the time to process everything that I’ve been seeing.”
As for whether Nic is planning on reaching out to Cierra again now he’s out of the villa? Well, it seems even he doesn’t know at this point.
Nick said: “That’s something I’m still taking the time to process. I just got my phone back not even 24 hours ago. That’s something that I need to sit down and figure out.”
