Chris’ ex claims he’s ‘very different’ to his Love Island USA portrayal as she details his past
'The version the world sees is different to who you saw in private'
Chris Seeley reached the final of Love Island USA season seven with Huda Mustafa, but since leaving the villa, his ex has spoken out. She claims that he’s “very different in private” compared to how respectful he was portrayed on the show.
Kate Etereo, who claims to be Chris’ ex-girlfriend, shared a selfie of them in the mirror, revealing that she was “involved with Chris”. She went on to say that she “didn’t plan to say anything,” but, after a conversation between them was leaked, she’s breaking her silence.
Reiterating that she “might tell a joke but will never tell a lie,” she wrote on a TikTok post: “I didn’t plan to say anything, but I also didn’t plan for a private conversation to be leaked online without my consent. Yes, I was involved with Chris. I’m not here to trash anyone.”
@kateetereo I’m really not asking for much 🤷🏻♀️
“But I will say this: Sometimes the version of a person the world sees is very different than the one you knew in private. It’s jarring to watch someone you had a painful history with be idolized by strangers. Especially when your hurt was never acknowledged,” she added.
Claiming that she “never received an apology,” Kate continued: “I’m not here to prove anything to the internet. If you’ve loved someone who treated you like you were disposable, made you question your worth, or twisted your emotions against you, know you’re not alone.”
She said: “I know my truth and it’s valid, with or without a spotlight. I’m healing, I’m focused on building a beautiful life, and I’m sending love to anyone who’s ever felt erased by someone else’s curated version of reality. 💗”
