Cierra apologised for using racial slur over a year before Love Island USA, DMs show
Her recent apology wasn't the first
Cierra was removed from the Love Island USA villa, and has since made an apology video. However, DMs that have been released by someone who called her out for using the same racial slur back in early 2024, who she ended up saying sorry to.

Although producers and Love Island USA viewers have only just discovered that Cierra used a racial slur, someone called her out for doing it in early 2024. They told her that she “seems unaware that the word c**** is an extremely racist and offensive word.”
The message, which appears to have been sent in January 2024 as a response to her story, claimed that the word she used goes “against Asians,” adding that it’s “incredibly hurtful and unacceptable to be using that word, especially in this context.”
Seemingly, they had responded to Cierra’s racial slur used after getting Botox, which ended with: “You’ve lost a follower. I hope you take this opportunity to grow.” Cierra responded by thanking them and admitting she’s “so embarrassed for being so naive and unaware.”
She said: “It’s not excuse as the damage has already been done. You have every right to be upset for my careless misuse of the word. I do hope you know I had zero ill intention and I didn’t mean to cause any harm. Being a POC and minority myself, I should be careful.”
“Thank you for educating me and I can assure you this word has been removed from my vocabulary and I’ll make an honest effort to make sure no other derogatory words or terms leave my mouth or are shared to my audience,” Cierra continued.
