Does this Love Island USA theory prove one Islander MUST know the actual time?!
They aren't usually allowed to know the time
While Love Island USA contestants aren’t supposed to know the actual time, there’s a theory circulating that one of the new Casa Amor girlies must know the real timings, and to be honest, it genuinely does make complete sense.
The Islanders are strictly not allowed to know the time
Other than the lights turning on and off for them, Love Island USA stars have no concept of time during their experience in the villa. They also can’t listen to music or have any interaction to the outside world, and are given dummy phones purely to take photos.
The phones provided even have fake dates and times. No clocks or watches are allowed in there either, while producers specifically wake them up and tell them when to go to bed. This is done to create a sense of disorientation and to make the days feel longer, apparently.
Love Island USA theory hints one star must know the time
Basically, there’s a current theory going around that Jaden Duggar, one of the Casa Amor girls, must know the time. It is based on her having type 1 diabetes, as people who have the condition typically need to be given insulin at certain times of the day.
One Reddit user wrote: “If a big part of the show is avoiding being able to let the islanders know what time it is, that wouldn’t work with a pump. You need the time to do specific things (bolus for meals, when to have insulin given, and so on and so on).”
They added, “She knows what time it is. Not sure that would cause any drama or anything, but, just a random thought I had while watching last night!” While she may not know the exact time of day it is, producers often make sure girls on oral contraceptives take meds on time.
