Shayne Jansen’s ex ’embarrassed’ about break-up as she claims their love was ‘genuine’
'This feels like a personal failure'
Julie Theis has finally spoken out on her split from Shayne Jansen, revealing that she feels “embarrassed” about the whole thing. They dated for almost two years after meeting on Trust: A Game of Greed, but Shayne first became famous on Love Is Blind, which didn’t go too well.
Julie Theis speaks on her split from Shayne Jansen
Julie shared a video on June 2, revealing that she’s been “really quiet and grieving” since announcing her split from Shayne. She said, “I’m really embarrassed, I feel like this is a personal failure. I’ve had a ton of messages and I get it, Shayne and I had a very public relationship.”
“I know you guys felt like we took you guys along with us and showed you a lot of our life, I know some of you guys feel confused on what happened. But everything that we posted was very genuine. We had a very, very genuine love,” she added.
Julie continued: “It’s hurt me seeing the comments where people are debating on who loved who less, it also hurt me when I still had our photos up, seeing people saying stuff like, ‘Oh, this didn’t age well,’ but everything I said I meant then, and I still mean.”
She claims that Shayne is her ‘best friend’
Julie revealed how the love between her and Shayne was “genuine” and that everything they shared was real. She told her followers in the video, “Like truly, that is my best friend. We only ever had genuine intentions for each other.”
“We would not have moved in and got our dream house that we picked out specifically for us, for our little family, if that wasn’t true. This, what is happening right here, is my worst nightmare, and I know everyone is supposed to hate their ex,” she added.
Julie continued: “There is not a lot of advice out there for when you don’t. In my opinion, why things ended is deep, deep wounds that existed far before our relationship even started, it’s something we went into our relationship and knew.”
“There’s no surprise on that and to be honest, we didn’t care because we loved each other so much. But you also have to love yourself, and if there ever comes a moment when you feel like you’re not, or that is getting harder, you have to be strong enough to let that go,” she said.
