Nobody expected them to last this long
Matt and Colleen were not the couple we expected to last this long after Love Is Blind. They never really post much together on socials, with many a rumour speculating they’ve split, but the truth is, they’re still a couple and have been ever since they met in those pods. But it wasn’t without challenges, and it has been pretty messy between them.
Matt and Colleen have been together since Love Is Blind
Despite Matt and Colleen’s messy love triangle with Cole Barnett, they’ve stuck it out as a married couple since meeting on Love Is Blind. She never wears her engagement ring because the diamond popped off a day after wearing it on the show, but still wears her wedding band. When they finally met after the pods, they had lots of tension, with Matt threatening to leave Colleen altogether.
They still got married, but people later noticed they appeared to have strained body language at the reunion, in which they admitted they still weren’t living together almost a year after marriage. They immediately shut all speculation down, with the couple admitting they love each other more than anything and are looking forward to their future.
They initially lived separately due to existing leases
Matt and Colleen didn’t move in together after the show, as they had existing leases of their own. Two years after getting married, they finally moved in together in 2023, with Colleen recently telling US Weekly, “We took our time. It was actually a very easy transition. I always thought that the first year moving in with a boy would be a struggle, but no, it was really easy.”
‘So many challenges’ after three years of marriage
Colleen has admitted there’s been “so many challenges” after three years of marriage to Matt. It’s not been easy, she admitted in an interview with Us Weekly, where she explained why she doesn’t wear her engagement ring amid split rumours. Colleen said, “Of course, staying together, but also, I’d say with all the audience and the eyeballs is definitely the hardest to go through and all of the opinions and everything.”
She continued: “I would say that was 100 per cent the biggest challenge. But then, you have your own everyday challenges that you go through in a relationship and a marriage. With everything, it’s definitely a pressure cooker, so you just have to be strong with yourself and with your relationship.” Colleen even admitted to having the most baby fever out of the two of them…
Strangely, Colleen said she ‘doesn’t want to be single forever’
Colleen revealed she and her girlfriends were all looking at dating profiles as they “don’t want to be single forever”. People were seriously confused in the comments because of the fact she’s a married woman, but when her friend commented, “Me living through all my single friends dating lives for the entertainment 😂👏,” Colleen replied, “Aha you get it!”
