Hold on, Kourtney Kardashian almost dated Prince Harry before he met Meghan Markle?!
She almost became a Princess... kinda
Kourtney Kardashian was moments away from becoming a Princess, as she almost dated Prince Harry! She was being set up on a date with the former royalty, who back then, was still very much a part of the royal family. He later met Meghan Markle, and sadly, Kourtney missed her chance. However, she’s super loved-up with Travis Barker nowadays.
Kourtney Kardashian almost dated Prince Harry
Kourtney Kardashian and Prince Harry were almost set up by mutual friend and comedian Katherine Ryan, before he met Meghan Markle, who he married in 2016. Katherine has just revealed her attempt to get them both to meet up, in which she was struck by the idea during a Jimmy Carr party in London during that same year. At the time, Kourtney was on-and-off with Scott Disick.
She told Hello Magazine, “I walked in and saw Kourtney Kardashian with Princess Beatrice. I went straight over to her because I knew who she was. I was so invested in The Kardashians and their TV show. I said, “You need to leave Scott.” And she said, “How can I? He’s in my house right now.” I told her, “Don’t go back to the house. You need to leave him.’”
When Kourtney apparently asked Katherine who she should date instead, she suggested Prince Harry. At the time, he was still single, and was in his late twenties. He told CBS four years earlier, “I’m 27 years old, and not so much searching for someone to fulfil the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone that would be willing to take it on.”
They never ended up dating – but found love elsewhere
Kourtney and Harry never went on that date, but both found love in their respective situations. While Kourtney had a tumultuous relationship with the father of her kids, Scott, in the past, she’s now happily married to Blink 182 drummer, Travis, who she wed in Italy back in May 2022 – six years after Harry tied the knot with his now-wife, Meghan.
A lot of people have weighed up how similar The Kardashians and the British royal family are, what with Harry no longer having his royal title, and Kourtney appearing to be slightly distant from her own family. It was only a year after the suggested date that Kourtney and Harry could have gone on, that Harry announced his engagement to Meghan, in November 2017.
Katherine Ryan had said, “She [Kourtney] was right there in the UK. It seemed obvious.” Yet Harry decided to scope out Meghan on social media, and alas, they’re one of the most famous celebrity couples ever! It’s no secret that The Kardashians have a few loose links to the royal family, such as Kim Kardashian wearing Princess Diana’s cross necklace.
