Here’s the tragic real reason Connor’s dad doesn’t appear on Love on the Spectrum
He was originally meant to be in the show
Not only are people getting to know Connor even more on Love on the Spectrum season three, but everyone seems to be falling in love with his family, too. As Connor navigates his love life and has us pretty much sobbing at every turn, some folks are curious to know more about what happened to his dad. He doesn’t seem to be in the picture.

Love on the Spectrum’s Connor opens up about his dad
During Love on the Spectrum, we get invited into the lives of Connor and his family members.
He lives with his mom, stepdad and younger siblings who are all supporting him in finding love.
Connor’s biological dad comes up in conversation during one scene when his mom mentions her first date with her current partner, Tony.
Connor mentions how at the time, he wanted his mom and dad to get back together, but “now he knows better.”
He also explains on one of his dates how his father’s side of the family is British.
The Love on the Spectrum star is part of a big blended family, and his mom and biological dad divorced when his youngest brother, Jack, was in diapers.
Connor filmed scenes with his dad
Speaking on the Forever Forward Pod last year, Connor explained how he actually filmed Love on the Spectrum scenes with his dad, but they didn’t make it into the final edit.
He said: “Last season I was filmed in a park talking to my dad, we were just walking around and, well, that scene never made it into the final cut…”
Connor’s mom added how he felt his “dad got left out of it” a little. She continued: “It would’ve also explained the British angle because his dad is English.”
His mom also said Connor is like a “copy paste” of his grandad in England. The two have a shared interest in history and she explains how they often “go back and forth chatting about it.”
In another more recent interview Nicki Marie UNPLUGGED with Nicki Marie, it’s clear Connor still has a relationship with his father.
He said he “went home for the World Cup” with his dad.
“My dad has a saying, ‘the most important thing you can do in your life is read’,” he also added.
