Omg, this Love Is Blind couple have sadly split after two years of marriage and I’m gutted
I thought they were endgame tbh
Mena and Maria from Love Is Blind have split after two years of marriage. They first met on season three, but it wasn’t without issues. At one point, Maria accused Mena of cheating on her with another pods girl, which turned out not to be the case, and they ended up moving on and ultimately tying the knot on the show.
Mena and Maria have sadly split after Love Is Blind
Mena and Maria revealed they’ve decided to divorce after over two years of marriage. They both shared a statement to their Instagram Stories, but have left up the loved-up pictures and videos of them from weeks ago. “We’re dealing with this phase with respect and peace. We have always made a point of being very honest with you, and for that reason, we have received in so many messages in the last few days,” they wrote.
They added, “At this time, we are no longer together as a couple. We know every relationship goes through challenges, and therefore, we ask that this love and care that we have always had continue, just as we are dealing with this phase: with respect and peace. Life goes on, with its routine and commitments, but we just want to thank and reassure each one of you who have always supported us and given us genuine love.”
They had loads of ups and downs on-screen
Mena and Maria weren’t always perfect, and were actually part of a love triangle on season three. Maria also had a romantic connection with someone called Valmir in the pods, but ultimately ended up doing the red carpet reveal with Mena, who proposed to her. At first though, Maria was more attracted to Valmir for his calming nature, but decided he wasn’t as genuine as she initially thought.
Despite the odds, Maria fell in love with Mena for his kindness, and devotion to his daughter. She let Valmir down pretty dramatically, making clear she didn’t think that their connection was as deep as she had once thought, and he was fuming. But once Maria and Mena had their trip abroad and got engaged, she saw that him and another contestant, Barbara, had followed each other on socials.
She convinced herself he’d cheated on her, but he claimed he’d just followed Barbara out of respect. Maria basically called him a hypocrite and stormed out. And even through all of that drama, they said yes to each other at the altar and stayed together for more than two years. Sadly, they’ve now called it quits.
