Lauren from Love Is Blind has somehow just defended none other than Dave, her literal ex. Despite him being unable to get over her ex from before the show, she’s spoken out on being “sl*t-shamed,” but says he “isn’t malicious”.
Lauren speaks on being ‘sl*t-shamed’ on Love Is Blind
Lauren has spoken out on being “sl*t-shamed” as the “Minneapolis “w****” for her relationship with an ex before Love Is Blind. Basically, Dave was unsure about dating her because of a previous romance with a mutual friend.
She said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast: “I did feel a little-slut shamed. I think it’s BS if you’re gonna tell me you haven’t slept with someone in six months because you’ve been having casting conversations with Love Is Blind.”
“I’m the bad guy in this situation. I’m the one that’s gonna sit here and defend myself for being the Minneapolis w**** on national TV. I’m willing to do that,” Lauren said, adding that she “didn’t understand why it mattered.”
Despite all that happened, she’s now defending Dave
Regardless of Dave’s controversial actions on Love Is Blind, Lauren has now defended him. She said he “isn’t malicious” and revealed: “I do think that deep down, he is a good person who was trying to do his best.”
She added, “I think where he was lacking is putting his ego down, the emotional maturity, being able to be fully ready for an actual mature romantic relationship. I do think that there was love there…”
However, it “wasn’t enough” to commit to Lauren. “I could tell that he was genuinely struggling with how to tackle all of this information. I don’t think he loved me enough to put me above the ego,” Lauren continued.
