Honestly, I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with Dave and Lauren at this point after Love Is Blind, but it seems there’s even more history there than we thought.
During an appearance on the After Curfew podcast, Dave shockingly revealed that he and Lauren secretly “hooked up” straight after splitting on Love Is Blind.
The interviewer asked him: “In the reunion, you said that she was the one who got away. With that, she rebutalled and said ‘If I was the one that got away, why did it take a year to reach out?’
“What is the reason and are there still feelings there, do you feel like there could be some type of potential to reunite?”
Dave responded: “Okay so, it didn’t take a year for me to reach out, like we hooked up after filming wrapped and everything. Like we had a couple of random hangouts.”
When the interviewer asked: “Is that known? Or is that just not?” Dave replied: “I don’t think so, no, I think that’s new information.”
Dave explained that after their split on Love Is Blind, the two would still hang out frequently with him seeing Lauren fairly often.
He added: “It wasn’t often, it was just a couple of times, we would go out with the rest of the group, and this is after filming wrapped and all that.
“And yeah, we hung out a couple of times after that. So it didn’t take me a year to reach out to her, it was just such a weird position to be in.
“I was thinking I was going to give it a little time and if we could hang out without all the pressure and see where things go, take it slow or whatever, that’s kind of where my head was at.”
He continued: “In her defence though, she is looking for her person and she really doesn’t want to wait around, I don’t believe.
“So, I don’t think she was really willing to wait for me to figure that out.”
