Dave has been seriously busy since that split from Lauren on Love Is Blind. He’s started a new job, praised his ex on social media, and even bitten back at trolls. It was an amicable split that took place in a movie theatre of all places, and it was less than 24 hours until they were reunited with the rest of the cast.

Dave and Lauren split on Love Is Blind season eight episode 11, which was filmed in February to March 2024. Despite their breakup, he speaks highly of Lauren and has said how there’s nobody he’d rather have spent the experience with. Lauren, on the other hand, isn’t exactly keen on being friends with the man, let alone be grateful for their on-screen time together.
He’s also wrote: “I’m far from perfect and I’m not here for sympathy. This experiment was very difficult and I’ve learned a lot this past year. The way I handled things wasn’t fair to anyone, especially Lauren. I’ve grown, been humbled, and will continue to work on being the best person I can be. Please direct all hate towards me and leave my family out of it.”
He’s now started a whole new job
Dave has left the Botox cosmetics industry behind and started working for a legal company. He was a medical device salesman during his time on the show, but soon switched from the plastic surgery world to Veritech Legal Solutions in Minnesota, where he has worked as an account executive since August 2024.
So it looks like Dave hasn’t only ended a relationship but gone into a whole new career! As part of his new job, he’s gone to wine tasting events and been so busy learning his new role that it was a sure-fire way to distract himself from the wedding that sadly never happened, and where things with Lauren could have gone.
Awkwardly, Dave attended a wedding
Dave attended his friend’s wedding eight months after he had to call his off, awkwardly. He’s been to many in the last few years, and we won’t be forgetting that time he actually advertised his search for a wedding date. Anyway, it wasn’t super soon after the split in March 2024, but by November that year, he was on a beach supporting one of his friends tying the knot.
Five of his friends were there, who likely would have attended Dave and Lauren’s wedding – had it gone ahead. Dave wore a chilled suit, seemed genuinely happy for the newly-wedded couple, and partied on into the night – and he got so warm at the beach wedding he went topless and posed for photos with his mates in Cancun.
