OMG, Alexis Bellino is ‘relieved’ by RHOC casting decision for season 19
RHOC arguably came through with one of its most explosive seasons yet this year. The episodes finished airing in November, but the internet is still going wild for any drama related to the cast including Shannon Beador, Alexis Bellino, and Tamra Judge.
As talk of the casting for next season gets going, some people were dying for Alexis to return next year. However, others vowed on social media they wouldn’t continue watching The Real Housewives of Orange County if she’s to be back. Now, Alexis takes to the airwaves to tell everyone herself where she stands on next season.
Alexis speaks out on RHOC casting
The rumor mill was churning, and word was spreading that Alexis may not be returning to RHOC for season 19.
But, now, she’s confirmed the news herself. It’s official, Alexis has been dropped from the cast list.
Speaking on Going Rogue with Carlos King and Alexis Bellino, she said she “wasn’t asked back,” on the show.
Alexis made her name on RHOC in the show’s early seasons. She was a cast member from seasons 4 to 8 and later returned as a ‘friend of’ in season 17.
However, it seems her time on the Bravo hit is over.
Speaking on Going Rogue, she said: “I can’t say it came as a shock, it did not come as a shock… It was a hard conversation. … I guess I wasn’t really prepared… I didn’t think contracts were coming out, like, I thought we had more time… it was shocking when the call came, but I was never shocked about that information.”
Alexis actually said she wondered “where she fit in,” and described the news as “a little bit of a relief…”
“When one door closes, another door opens. Nobody wants the rejection, and no one wants to… you’re not asked back. But it already happened to me. It happened to me in season 8. I’ve been there, done that, it’s like here we go, again…” she adds.
RHOC season 18 made for some awkward scenes
It’s no secret that RHOC season 18 was a tough viewing at times.
Alexis appeared on-screen alongside her partner’s ex, Shannon Beador, and the two shared some awkward exchanges.
Emily Simpson also clashed with Alexis during the show’s last season.
Speaking to Carlos King, Alexis asked what she could’ve done to come across better in season 18.
Carlos told her she “came across too hard in your defense of John…”
Alexis also added how some of the scenes “weren’t easy for her to film.”
People reports that while Alexis is leaving the show, the rest of the ladies, Shannon, Heather Dubrow, Tamra Judge, Emily, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, and Katie Ginella, are set to return.
