Josh Flagg and Josh Altman have featured on Million Dollar Listing LA for years. But they came to heads when they were both meant to work on a listing together, which Altman ended up “hijacking”.
Million Dollar Listing LA follows real estate agents selling multi-million dollar properties. Josh Flagg and Josh Altman have always been super close, but their bond has changed over a business conflict.
Altman and Flagg feud over listing
Josh and Heather Altman prepared for an open house at their $15,888,888 listing on the July 10 premiere. When Flagg found out his co-star had taken on the listing, he was certainly not pleased.
“The Altman Brothers have an incredible listing on Readcrest,” Heather said, noting she and her husband were co-listing with another agent. Many other agents had seen it, as it was on the market for ages.
“I went on that listing appointment a year and a half ago,” Tracy Tutor said. “I mean, who hasn’t seen Readcrest? I’m sure James [Harris] and David [Parnes] were there. Maybe Fredrik [Eklund].”Â
Flagg felt ‘hurt’ over ‘hijack’
As Flagg and Altman had originally attended the $15M property listing appointment together, he felt betrayed by his Bravo co-star after finding out Altman had decided to take it on for himself.
Later, Tracy asked Flagg if he was going to Altman’s open house for the property, and he was quick to shut down that idea. “I’m not supporting someone who hijacked the listing we went on together,” he said.
“This Readcrest listing is a bit of a sore subject for me because it’s fair to say that Altman f***** me,” he added in an interview. He said Altman “didn’t even have the courtesy” to tell him he wasn’t on the listing
He only found out when he “saw it come on the MLS,” which is the “part he was so butt-hurt about”. Flagg added, “I value the relationship and conduct myself in the way that I would want him to.”
Months after – still drama
Although it’s been over a month since the episode aired, and in real time, several months, Flagg and Altman still haven’t made amends over the $15M luxury listing hijacking situation.
“I mean, we’re not like fighting anymore, but we’re not exactly buddy-buddy,” he explained to Daily Dish in July. “We’re civil and one of us will have to make the first move and re-establish our friendship.”
Altman told Daily Dish a month earlier that they’re “not in the place that we used to be.” He said, “When you mix business and friendship, it’s going to tend to happen more often than not.”
