Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi have not had it easy. Their 90 Day Fiancé journey has been full of ups and downs, but since Michael moved to the US, their relationship has taken a total 180 turn.
Despite spending years fighting for Michael to receive his US green card, Angela Deem has now filed for annulment, in court documents seen by Reality Tidbit. For months, the 90 Day Fiancé couple have been at odds, including him running away.
Angela Deem files for annulment
Angela Deem filed for annulment from her marriage to Michael Ilesanmi, on June 20 in a Georgia court. In the court documents, she alleges he fraudulently induced her into marriage for a green card.
“The parties have continuously lived in a state of separation for 30 days preceding this filing,” the paperwork said. She said he used her “to gain legal permanent resident status in the United States.”
According to her petition, Angela discovered that Michael, after abandoning her, was involved in a scheme with other Nigerian men to marry U.S. citizens for residency purposes.

Michael was the admin of the group called ‘Paradise Men’ which he told Angela allowed Nigerian men who were awaiting their US visas to seek information from each other.
Angela has asked for Michael to be ordered to cover a reasonable amount of attorney fees and court costs. She included a declaration stating she had been unable to locate Michael.
A judge signed off a request to post the proceedings in a local advert, as she is unable to locate Michael to serve him papers.
They signed off the order: “It appearing by affidavit that the above named Respondent on whom service is to be made in this case resides out of the state, or has departed from the state, or after due diligence cannot be found within the State of Georgia, or conceals himself to avoid service of the Summons…”
Publicly announcing the annulment filing meets the requirement of Michael being served, and he has 60 days to respond.
Michael posts cryptic messages
Michael has been posting several pictures of himself smiling with his new life in the US.
With the documents being filed in June, he hasn’t responded directly to the allegations or annulment. But he has been sharing cryptic captions, such as, “People will notice the change in your attitude towards them.”
He added on another ocassion: “But won’t notice their behavior made you change #positivemind #staystrong.” Other captions Ilesanmi has posted amid his split from Angela say, “New Month. New Beginning. New mindset.”
Weeks ahead of the Tell All, he posted a picture with Angela captioned, “Popcorn ready”.
In July, Michael wrote, “Wishing you all a month of breakthroughs, accomplishments, and the fulfilment of your desires.”
90 Day Fiance stars at odds
Michael and Angela have not been getting along since he moved to the US. He felt like an “unwanted guest” after leaving Nigeria in December 2023, and decided to leave Angela’s home to go elsewhere.
Angela started a live missing persons case to search for Michael, to which the police did locate him. He later told ET Online, “Unfortunately, things went the other way.”
Explaining why he ran away from Angela’s home, he said, “For me to have left, it had gotten to the point where I couldn’t bear it anymore. Other people are saying there’s another woman and I planned it.”
“I don’t have any women here I’m talking to or dating. The only woman I had was Angie and that was it,” Michael added, addressing and denying rumors that a car came to collect him when he left.
