The world of real estate is known to be cutthroat. And, when it comes to selling property in New York City the stakes are super high. Owning Manhattan follows Ryan Serhant and his team as they negotiate their way across The Big Apple. Chloe Tucker Caine is one of the Owning Manhattan realtors working for Ryan.
Just after dropping on Netflix this June, Owning Manhattan already has fans talking. When it comes to real estate agent Chloe, many urge her to “read the room” and more are dubbing her a “reality TV villain.” Ryan is on a mission to have the number-one brokerage in the world. But, could his team’s drama dash his chances?
Meet Owning Manhattan’s Chloe Tucker Caine
The Owning Manhattan stars have their work cut out as they’re tasked with selling the world’s most expensive apartment in episode 1.
The stakes are high as the trailer reveals: “…everyone in the industry is stressed.”
And it seems the tension may be getting to one realtor in particular as fans ask: “Why is Chloe so mean?”
Chloe Tucker Caine is a “new mom” per her Instagram bio.
She trained in theatre before moving into the real estate realm. Via IG, she shares clips of her singing at the $250 million apartment featured in Owning Manhattan episode 1.
Although Chloe proves she’s a “real person” on social media, fans are quick to judge her via X (Twitter): “Chloe cannot be a real agent…actually she cannot even be a real person…Ryan ordered an AI generated reality tv villain…”
More say: “Oooooh Chloe is nasty! That argument with Jade was unreal!”
And: “Wow. That was Chloe’s response to her “best friend’s” husband cheating? Read the room.”
Chloe has an explanation
Although Chloe is getting the “reality TV villain” label online, she’s keen to defend herself in a recent TikTok video.
She said: “I’m sorry but has not one person thought to themself ‘hmm that was a really aggressive to go at someone’s best friend’? ‘I wonder if there’s another side to this story. I wonder if there’s more to that conversation we didn’t see?”
Taking to TikTok after Owning Manhattan’s release, Chloe said watching the scene back herself, she thought: “Man, that was aggressive.”
Calling an article about her relationship with co-star Jade Shenker “lazy journalism,” she explains: “You guys saw five minutes of something that’s been going on for months before we started filming.”
Saying how people should go “straight to the horse’s mouth,” she thinks someone should “put her on a pod” to tell her side of the story.
