‘The weirder the better’: Harry Potter star exposes the grim world of her OnlyFans requests

Jessie Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films, has opened up about the surprisingly lucrative world of her OnlyFans, including the very niche requests she receives from subscribers.

“I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” Cave told The Times.

Jessie joined OnlyFans in 2025, initially expecting it to be a short-term way of making some extra money while she figured out her next move. Instead, she said the platform has completely changed her finances, revealing she once made £15,000 in a single day.

Jessie charges subscribers £5 a month, but said she makes significantly more through “paid-for messages”.

“I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” she said, “but it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”

While she sometimes dresses up as Lavender Brown for fans, her content is very specifically focused on hair.

Jessie explained that she creates “hair content” for people with a hair fetish, while stressing that she remains fully clothed.

“My rule is the hair is the main character,” she said. “That’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.”

And her hair is certainly giving subscribers plenty to work with. Jessie revealed it currently reaches “down to [her] vagina”, adding: “I could trim it but the truth is, the weirder the better.”

Despite how unexpected the career change may seem, Jessie said she has actually enjoyed the attention that has come with it.

“For so long I’ve just been this quirky figure,” she told The Times. “After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.”

Earlier this year, Jessie also revealed she had undergone a boob job after starting her new career, announcing the change on the first anniversary of her OnlyFans page.

She wrote at the time: “On March 10th last year I started a new career path and I’m so glad I did. Big fan of my new look so far. Wanted to do this for ages, but never thought I’d actually do it, much like I never thought I’d be doing what I do now for a living.

“I’m actually quite proud of myself for being bold for the first time in my life.”

Despite the financial success, Jessie’s OnlyFans career hasn’t been completely without consequences. She previously revealed she was banned from a Harry Potter convention because of her involvement with the platform.

According to Jessie, organisers told her the decision was linked to OnlyFans’ association with pornography, despite her own page not containing adult content.

She later addressed the decision on her Substack, writing: “This was baffling to me as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done tv and films in which they’ve done sex scenes and nudity. I’m just playing with my hair!”
