Cynthia Erivo shares revealing update on relationship with Ariana Grande, after feud rumours
I miss the Wicked press tour every day
We all miss Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s cutesy friendship updates, and now Cynthia has finally given us a glimpse into what their relationship looks like.
During the Wicked press tour, Ariana and Cynthia were everywhere together. The two generated countless memes for everything from constantly touching each other to crying at basically every interview. What a time.
Since Wicked is over, the pair have been super busy. Cynthia has been performing her highly acclaimed one-woman performance of Dracula, while Ariana is prepping for a mini tour and even a potential eighth album. Due to their distance, many rumours were swirling, hinting at a feud between the two actresses.

But in a new interview with Elle, Cynthia has shared that the two are still very much in touch – yay!
“Ari is in L.A. currently, and so we’re FaceTiming back and forth and texting all the time. She sent the most wonderful, beautiful flowers on my opening night,” Cynthia said. “She’s just very, very supportive, and she keeps checking on me, and she wants to make sure that I’m okay.”
The actress continued: “I’ve told her how nervous I get sometimes. And she’s always just like, ‘Just check how you are’.”
Wicked fans will be happy to know Jonathan Bailey and Ariana are reuniting on a new project – a play called Sunday In The Park With George in London. No one is as excited for this as Cynthia.

“We’re always making sure that we’re okay, and we’re there to support each other, to make sure that we’re happy in our endeavours and in the new adventures that we’re taking,” she said in the same interview.
“I can’t wait to see them in Sunday in the Park with George. I will probably be there. It’s one of my favourite Sondheim pieces. Because it’s two of my besties in there, I’m going to be front and centre watching, for sure.”
