People think they’ve figured out who wins Celebrity Traitors using two clever theories

I’m actually convinced

People are convinced they’ve cracked the ending of the Celebrity Traitors, all because of a very sneaky new theory that’s doing the rounds online.

The BBC show has already delivered some absolutely chaotic moments, with Claudia Winkleman kicking things off by picking Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan Carr as the three Traitors.

Alan recently admitted he regrets voting off his mate and fellow performer Paloma Faith as their first victim, but he’s clearly settled into the role after a slightly shaky start. Jonathan, meanwhile, might’ve had a small rule slip-up (classic), but all three Traitors are somehow still in the game after six episodes – with only Faithfuls being voted out so far.

Now that the final stretch of episodes has been revealed – airing tonight and tomorrow, and then wrapping up on the 6th November – people think they’ve worked out exactly who walks away with the prize. All the theories point to Jonathan taking the lead, and this is why.

With just three episodes left, it’s unlikely the trio of Traitors will all make it to the end. The thinking is that the producers will almost certainly step in to make sure at least one of them goes to keep the finale tense.

It’s a similar move to UK season two, when Myles was forced to murder “in plain sight” after the Traitors looked a bit too strong as the final episodes approached. The Reddit theory states that Cat’s fate depends on whether or not Nick gets taken out before he can share his suspicions about her, and Alan will become the next celebrity banished at the roundtable after a major blunder put him in the firing line. This leaves only Jonathan safe, and people think there’s not enough time left for the Faithful to suss him out.

Another particularly confident theory also claims Jonathan Ross takes the win. The reasoning? His slightly “vague and humble” tweets apparently mirror the posting style of Danielle, who won US Celebrity Traitors Season Two. They wrote on Reddit: “I’ve been suspicious since his ‘I found this game really hard psychologically’ tweet. I don’t see a path for a Faithful win, this bunch is absolutely hopeless.”

According to them, Jonathan’s most likely to reach the end alongside Celia. Others, though, are convinced he’s the next to go, with one person joking that if Jonathan does end up winning, they’ll “start believing my own joke” about him having a “contractual agreement” to take the crown.

Whatever happens, we won’t have to wait long to find out if this theory actually holds up. Celebrity Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
