Leah finally addresses the MAFS flirting drama, but her confession could alter perceptions of her

MAFS brides Leigh and Leah are still in the trenches with their marriage, with the most recent drama centring around Leah “flirting” with other cast members.

From the moment they got hitched, Leigh and Leah have experienced issues in their MAFS UK marriage. From their skiing honeymoon to the first dinner parties, it seemed as though Leah and Leigh could not get to the meat of their relationship; they were stuck behind silly arguments and blunt responses. Things heated up last week when Leah was accused of flirting with other brides, namely Leisha and Rebecca. Leigh argued it was “disrespectful.”

“I think it’s important for us all to remember that just because two women are in a relationship, that does not excuse behaviour that would not be accepted if the relationship were heteronormative,” she said on Instagram.

Keye soon clapped back with an Instagram statement of his own, branding Leah “flirting with straight women” as “queer expression.” Though Leah commented, “Well said. Respectfully,” on Keye’s post, she has now addressed the situation more in an Instagram Q&A.

What did MAFS’ Leah say about the flirting saga?

In an Instagram Q&A over the weekend, someone asked MAFS’ Leah: “Do you see the difference in flirting and being genuinely nice with no intent?”

In he response, which was on top of a picture of herself and Leigh, she argued there was “100 per cent” a difference.

“100 per cent see the difference. Today’s world is WILD.. If I get the chance to tell someone they look great or have nice eyes- or talk about them like this behind their back (such as my situation on screen) – I will!” she said.

After what would have been a perfectly sufficient response, Leah did admit something rather cheeky that could alter perceptions of her.

“But in the same breath, some of what you see is me being a wind up- Leigh knew this at the time. I know a lot of you get my humour,” she said.

She did say that Leigh was aware, but knowingly winding up the woman you’re supposed to be working on a marriage with is a choice.
