Erm, what’s a hung smile? The filthy term is going viral on TikTok, and you might have one

Now there’s something to put on your Hinge profile

Guys, TikTok is once again reheating 2018’s nachos with a new dating term, the hung smile. As you can probably tell, it’s the latest in a long line of cheeky internet slang about naughty things.

First we had Orange YouTube, a way of circumventing strict content moderation when referring to P*rnhub. Then there was white shampoo, which was born out of a trend where men would pleasure themselves while adhering to what could and could not be shown on the public social media platform.

Right, so what exactly is a hung smile?

Whispers of hung smiles first began to pop up back in July, but since then, the trend has really taken off. Fast forward three months, and I’m still seeing three to five hung smile posts a week. But is the trend as prevalent as TikTok suggests, or is my FYP in desperate need of a cold shower?

The premise of a hung smile is incredibly simple: Certain smiles, usually from celebrities or influencers, convey the message of them being considerably gifted down below. Hung, you would say.

On Twitter, you’ll often find people posting a picture of a celeb alongside “that hung smile”, and while it seems to differ greatly between the posts, there are some characteristics that encapsulate what it means to have a hung smile.

One TikTok user explained that the men characterised with hung smiles have unbridled confidence. Besides that, the tells of these men seem to differ massively between the people clocking them. It’s like a spidey sense, a type of premonition, where you just KNOW they are packing some serious heat.

According to the very thirsty people on the internet, these celebs and figures have hung smiles:

Of course, the concept goes back further than TikTok

Of course, hung smiles are simply another internet term that has no basis in reality. There’s no scientific way to know the size of a guy’s business based solely on his smile. It’s not even the first time we’ve seen such terms emerge, because back in the late 2010s, it was big d*ck energy giving us all premonitions of s*xual prowess.
