Julia-Ruth’s bizarre comeback to claims she’s only sticking with Divarni on MAFS for fame
Apparently accountants are likelier to be ‘looking for fame’?
Pretty much every time anybody with an background in acting or an influencer-esque Instagram page signs up for a reality TV dating show, viewers accuse them of going on the show for attention instead of love. Julia-Ruth has shared a strange response to anyone who accused her of being on MAFS UK 2025 for fame.
In case you’ve missed the memo, Julia-Ruth has already been on many TV shows – including a soap opera in New Zealand, another reality dating show, and many televised music events in which she was a back-up dancer. She and Divarni – who also works in TV and music – haven’t exactly hit it off yet on MAFS UK.
Julia-Ruth is an actress and not and never was here for a marriage.
How dare she disrespects Divarni and faking to the group to tarnish his name. I mean how dare she? #MAFSUK pic.twitter.com/ZdbDb14KVO— RobYn BeckY (@Robinbecky09) October 15, 2025
Plenty of MAFS viewers have speculated whether they’re sticking around on the show to maximise their screentime. Reddit users called her a “clout chaser” and claimed she and Divarni “seem like the type that just apply for every single TV show just to get a 5-min of fame buzz”.
Julia-Ruth has shared her extensive thoughts on the theory that actors apply for MAFS UK reality TV shows for fame.
“Let’s flip the switch,” she said on TikTok, “let’s cut the cr*p. This narrative is boring. If anything, I feel like I should be able to say, ‘Why do people who work in accounting, behind a desk, whatever, work a nine-to-five job, come onto TV shows to find love?’ I feel like that’s looking for fame.

“I feel like I’m already in this world. I perform on big stages. I perform music videos. I’m always behind lights and cameras and production. So, if anything, I could just flip it and say, ‘Why the hell?’ to people who work nine-to-five jobs, the keyboard warriors. Why are you stepping into this world, this side? Like, what are you here for? Are you here for fame? Because TV, and cameras, and lights and stuff is something that I’m so accustomed to, because I perform and dance on stage. Your argument is just non-void.”
Presumably Julia-Ruth meant their argument is void, not non-void.
One could perhaps counter that being on TV each night would be of more use to the career of a dancer/actor/influencer/Julia-Ruth than an accountant. I mean, even short-lasting MAFS contestants gain ridiculous amounts of social media followers. Virtually everyone who set foot in the Love Island villa this year churned out sponcon and brand collabs after the show. I’ll let the floor debate x.
