Flight attendant reveals what happens if they catch someone getting frisky on a plane
People join the Mile High Club more than you think
Joining the Mile High Club isn’t something that’s only done in movies. People really do get down and dirty on planes in real life, and a flight attendant has revealed what they do when they catch someone.
Mandy Smith, who flew as cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic for more than 12 years, told LADbible Stories it happens on one in every 20 or 30 flights, which she claimed isn’t “really that often”. Excuse me?!
If a flight attendant suspects someone’s up to something in the loo, they usually knock on the door and tell them to stop. If they don’t stop, the cabin crew can unlock the door from the outside or literally take the whole door off.
“I have not seen anyone ‘in flagrante’, full nakedness,” she said. “Because we can take those doors off, you know. Even though you’ve locked it, we can open them. And we can take the whole door.
“But no. I have stopped people, knocked on the door, and just said, ‘Excuse me, can you come out?’ kind of thing. Because I kind of know what you’re doing.”
She said if it’s a quiet night flight and nobody wants to use the plane toilet, it’s not really an issue and she’d let them just get on with it, but it’s “worse when you’ve got children on board and it’s in the daytime”.
“If it’s on a night flight, and they’re being discreet, I probably wouldn’t even interrupt them, if I’m honest,” she said.
One of the flight attendants’ friends actually had a crazy situation where an 18-year-old girl was looking for someone random to sleep with on the flight.

“Now, one of my friends had a situation where there was a young lady of 18, who was quite determined to join the Mile High Club, and she just grabbed anyone,” Mandy explained.
“I don’t know how she met this chap, or how they discussed it, or how they’d agreed to do this. But the cabin crew went and stopped her, and then she sat back down in her seat.
“And then about half an hour later, she was back up with another chap, trying to join the Mile High Club again. But then my friend said that she went to speak to her parents because she was actually travelling with her mum and dad.”
