Dave Hand from MAFS Australia 2025 is currently being dragged for a controversial brand deal he’s posted since the show. Loads of the cast members from MAFS go on to become influencers, but Dave is being called out for his most recent money maker.

In a recent venture, Dave has partnered with a gambling brand. He posted about LEON, an online casino site. Dave shared screenshots of him using the website, and said he had “jumped on LEON whilst I wait for my UberEats.” He then showed himself appearing to win nearly 200 dollars, and said: “Look what happened!”.

Later in the video Dave called it “just a bit of fun guys” and encouraged his followers to click the link he had attached to play for themselves. He stated people have to be over 18 to take part.

People haven’t taken to this too well. A lot of people have said the move is particularly strange, seeing as Dave has recently said he’s promoting mental health across his platforms, and participated in Run The Tan, to raise money and awareness for mental health.

“Is it just me, or does anyone else find it uncomfortable that someone who was promoting being a key note speaker for mental health is now also promoting online gambling for a pokies app. With no wording about gambling responsibly,” one person on Reddit said. “It’s just odd, mentions that you have to be 18, but seems strange.”

Replying to the thread, one person added: “Looks like desperation. I did like him in the show too but this is a bad decision.” Another added: “It’s not a good look, no doubt this company would have made him a big offer but still.” Someone else said: “What people do for a quick buck.” Whilst another commented: “Good lord this man has flopped.”

Ouch.
