Blake Lively *finally* releases statement on Instagram about the Justin Baldoni lawsuit saga
The judge just dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit
The fallout from It Ends With Us has been never-ending. However, Blake Lively has remained pretty tight-lipped during all her legal battles with Justin Baldoni. Now, Blake Lively has finally released a lengthy statement on Instagram about Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit.
A federal judge has thrown out Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. The judge rules that Blake Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment against Justin Baldoni were legally protected. Justin Baldoni has until 23rd June to refile some of his accusations about interfering with contracts.
Following this news, Blake Lively broke her silence on the lawsuit. She uploaded a statement to her Instagram story, addressing the “pain” and “manufactured shame” that she says Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit caused her.
Blake Lively’s statement about the lawsuit begins: “Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organisations united in defending women’s rights to speak up for their safety.
“Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us. While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back.
“I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.
“There are protections out there. Check out some of the incredible organisations below for resources and information.”
Blake Lively then thanked everyone who had supported her.
She wrote: “With love and gratitude for the many who stood with me, many of you I know. Many of you I don’t. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you.”
