A date is finally set for the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni trial: Here’s what we know
It’s actually closer than expected
The rift between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni was clear as day on the set of It Ends With Us, but both of them have filed lawsuits which have taken it to a whole new level. The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has made headlines since it first came out, but now there’s officially a trial date set in stone. Here’s everything we know about the trial so far.
When is the trial set?
The trial has been set for 9th March 2026, according to court documents obtained by E! News yesterday. That makes it a year and two months away.
What will be discussed in the hearing?
Blake’s lawsuit against Justin is set to be taken to trial, and the lawsuit accuses Justin of sexually harassing Blake on the It Ends With Us film set in 2024. It also claims Justin hired a PR expert to help implement a plan to destroy her reputation to save his own.
Obviously, Blake’s lawsuit against Justin will be discussed in the trial, but it’ll also “consolidate” her case with Justin’s lawsuit against her. Justin is seeking $400 million for his counterclaim and alleges that Blake implemented her own smear campaign against him, in addition to alleging that she hijacked his role as director of It Ends With Us.
Judge Lewis J. Liman, who is assigned to the case, confirmed a second date which said both teams would meet for a pre-trial conference on the 3rd of February 2025 to discuss Blake’s request for a gag order. Basically, it means Justin’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, would have to stop leaking information and publicly talking about the case until it goes to trial. Blake has labelled his behaviour “improper conduct,” but Bryan has denied any inappropriate behaviour.

As for the lawsuit against Justin, Bryan released a statement to E! News: “These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.” He also said they had “an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media.”
