Since JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes became “soulmate friends” on this season of Celebrity Big Brother, the two of them have left the house and found themselves at the forefront of the most fascinating reality TV dynamic in ages. Despite the fact the two of them have repeatedly said it’s only platonic, their close friendship has been the subject of so much scrutiny both in the UK with CBB viewers but also globally as everyone is fascinated with the most unlikely friendship ever. Now, after the two of them did a video interview yesterday, fans think they’ve spotted a secret code in which JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are communicating to tell each other ‘I love you’. Wild.

I’m still firmly in the this is a lovely platonic friendship camp, but it’s fascinating to see how much people are analysing – look at this.

In a TikTok post by This Morning, the pair of them are discussing who they’d most like to spend another 24 hours in the house with. Chris says Jack P Shepherd, the winner of the show, and JoJo says Chesney Hawkes.

They both then laugh and JoJo says “I would over and over pick you” to Chris, who says “Yeah, I would pick you twice over.” They then say they’d pick each other a fourth and fifth time, and potentially even a sixth. They’re so crazy, these kids.

But what people are focussing on here is an apparent secret code that people think JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes are using to communicate with each other, specifically to tell each other “I love you” – it’s all very Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the Wicked press tour if you ask me. But the comment section is wild.

One comment says “The two little taps they gave each other at the end!!! Bet they’re code for ‘love you”’, with another saying “There’s a lot of tapping going on. You are on to something.”

“I thought I was the only one who realised those constant taps, like some secret code”.  Another says “It’s defo code.”

Two more say “Omg and the last one with his index is like clearly intentioned to be twice” with another theorising “Just watched that back and it’s 100% code for love you”.
