Time for a career change?

It’s that time of year when all final year university students start panicking that their degrees are nearly over, and they actually have to figure out what they’re going to do with the rest of their lives. Here’s a list of the most in demand grad jobs in 2025, to help you figure out what to aim for.

Uni Compare analysed data from the Department of Education, and assigned a “job demand score” to different careers. They looked at several factors including how many job adverts there are online, how many people apply for visas so they can work in that area, and the percentage of job vacancies in a field which are available because of skill shortages.

Basically, these are the careers where employers are the most desperate for more staff, and so are way more likely to hire you fresh out of uni.

It’s great news for vet med girlies – veterinarians are really sought after. I guess you won’t be in your funemployment eras for long. If you picked a degree you liked instead of a degree that’s employable, it’s worth knowing that teaching and sales are understaffed areas. You could go into those careers with just about any degree.
