‘It’s borderline cheating’: MAFS Australia reveals wild new Temptation Week task for this series

MAFS Australia 2025 was already looking pretty wild, but it just went up the biggest notch it could have – enter the chat, Temptation Week. The new challenge is a world first for the show, and is the ultimate test for the couples. Be warned: This is definitely going to end in tears.

You know how earlier this year everyone went a bit mad over Temptation Island? Nobody could quite believe real life people wanted to take part in that. Well, MAFS has seemingly taken inspo from the bizarre show, and incorporated a very similar twist.

Temptation Island sees couples enter the show together, before being split across two villas. In short, singles are thrown in to “tempt” the cast members into cheating. A lot of the time, they do. It’s make or break for the couples, and in the majority of cases, it’s break.

So, how is Temptation Week going to work for MAFS Australia 2025? Here are all the details.

What is MAFS Australia Temptation Week?

As the couples prepare for Final Vows, they are going to be presented with one last task. It’s Temptation Week. No spoilers for the UK viewers here, but ahead of this challenge, six couples are still in the process.

For the very first time, the couples have been divided and moved into separate apartments before they received their final task. The task is wild – cast members have been invited to go on a date with someone else the experts considered matching them with at the start of the show. So basically, they can go on a date with someone who should be roughly their ideal person, but didn’t quite make the cut.

As Temptation Week kicked off, the MAFS Australia 2025 cast received a message from the experts. It read: “As you know the matchmaking process is extensive and thorough. Thousands apply to be involved in this experiment which means we meet and analyse hundreds of potential participants.

“We can now reveal that during the matchmaking process there was more than one person you were compatible with. For this final task you have the opportunity, if you choose, to meet them. Right now, your partner is receiving he exact same task and will also decide whether to meet this other match.

“This will give you a chance to really evaluate how deep the connection is in your relationship and hopefully help answer the question… is the grass greener on the other side?

“You’re about to go off and make a potentially life changing decision at Final Vows, where will decide whether you want to take this relationship into the real world and fully commit or go your separate ways. So the question is… do you want to meet this person? The decision is yours.”

The revelation got mixed reactions from the brides and grooms. “I think it’s borderline cheating,” one said, while another added: “Yeah, I’m gonna do it.” One confidently said: “I could probably bet my life that he won’t choose to meet this other match.”
