Here’s what the colossal PrettyLittleThing rebrand will sadly mean for Love Islanders now
It’ll be a ‘huge blow’ for Islanders past, present and future
Love Islanders have been repping PrettyLittleThing long before its rebrand, over many, many years. The brand has worked with some of the biggest names from Love Island such as Grace Jackson, Uma Jammeh, Ella Thomas and Gemma Owen. But now, with such an uproar from the public, their daring rebrand might cost Love Islanders a LOT more than they’d originally predicted.
Inside the PrettyLittleThing rebrand
After an 18-hour social media blackout, PrettyLittleThing revealed its new website and logo design, taking its vibe in a completely different direction.
The previous unicorn symbol has changed into a “heritage-inspired” mark, and the logo that was once pink has changed into a deeper mauve-y pink.
In an exclusive interview with DrapersOnline, PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani, who came back to run the business last September, said: “What made us so successful in the early days was we listened to what our customers wanted. I think what happened with the brand for a couple of years is we stopped listening. And that’s where the brand lost its identity. In coming back, what I’ve tried to do is to clean everything up and redefine ourselves.”
The Love Islanders could lose MILLIONS
Love Islanders have long been partnering with PrettyLittleThing and it’s basically a rite of passage for them at this point. However, the new rebrand could mean plenty of stars in years to come will miss out on that opportunity after the show.
A source told The Sun: “This will be a huge blow to some of the Islanders who go on these shows with the aim of coming out with a fashion deal. Without these deals, they’ll be losing out on thousands of pounds, even millions after the villa.”
Molly-Mae, who was the Creative Director of PrettyLittleThing after her time on Love Island, stepped down in 2023. She was reportedly earning £5 million a year from the job.
