Eliot’s best man reveals secret MAFS honeymoon arguments with Lauren that weren’t aired

This is the missing context we needed

MAFS Australia just got juicy as Eliot Donovan walked out on his new wife Lauren Hall during their honeymoon, and his best man has revealed some crucial missing context.

They had a bit of a disagreement over his strict “non-negotiables” and he packed his bags and left their Fraser Island villa, which all seemed like a bit of an overreaction.

However, his right-hand man Jordy, who we saw at the wedding, has revealed there were actually loads more arguments on the honeymoon that we didn’t see.

Speaking on the So Dramatic! with Megan Pustetto, he said: “They were just having so many arguments in the first 48 hours.”

“Like, if you meet somebody within the first 10 hours and you have an argument, let alone the first 48 hours and you have multiple arguments about multiple things that you disagree on, then that’s not healthy for anyone. Why would you stay around?”

He said they had a “huge argument” on the second or third night into their honeymoon which wasn’t shown on TV, and they “both kind of agreed that it wasn’t going to work”. The show made it look like his walking out came as a massive shock to Lauren, but that wasn’t the case at all.

He said to her, ‘Listen, I’m going to leave’. And then she’s like, ‘I just thought he was joking’. And then the next day he’s packing his stuff. She’s like, ‘What are you actually going to actually leave?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, we spoke about it last night. Like, I’m going to leave’,” the best man revealed.

According to him, Lauren asked Eliot to stay and “give it a crack” but he said he already knew it wasn’t going to work between them, so there was no point.

Then, Jordy claims Eliot nicely said: “I’m not going to waste your time. I’m not going to waste my time. I don’t want to be on TV for someone to just have arguments for the next three months. Like that’s just not, that’s not healthy for anyone. So like either way, whether he stayed on or left, people are going to hate it.”

He said the editing made his friend wrongly look like the bad guy while Lauren seemed all innocent, adding that the MAFS groom has a really dry sense of humour and is always making jokes, but they “cut out the funny parts” so it looks like he’s being a terrible person.
