Lauren’s wedding guest from hell sister Tamara blames the MAFS edit for her awful portrayal

I’m pretty sure you can’t edit in asking for compensation for not feeling centre of attention, but sure

Theirs was one of the first weddings on MAFS Australia 2025, but already Lauren and Eliot had their day overshadowed by a certain chaotic sister. Lauren straight up said her sister Tamara was going to be hard work on the day, but boy, it was a lot.

During what should have been her sister’s big day, Tamara took the limelight at every chance. She arrived and branded Lauren a “psycho” and then sat in the crowd at the wedding, constantly piping up. She made comments about everyone, and Eliot wasn’t safe from her judgement.

Then came the party afterwards, which Tamara compared to a graveyard. Strange. She then kicked off about not being given a pescatarian meal (fair, but needed to be handled better) and said she’d been “ignored” and not given any drinks. She let everyone know she was the “sister of the bride” about a million times, as though that should have warranted some special treatment.

Just to top the chaos off, Tamara then stormed out the venue with who was assumed to be a MAFS Australia producer. She demanded actual compensation (her words) for her awful treatment. Yikes.

‘This is a highly edited TV show’

Whilst Tamara admitted she “gets it” with why people didn’t take too well to her, she blamed the MAFS Australia edit on looking so bad. Sure! She posted on Instagram to reflect how she came across.

“I know how it looks — I watched the same episode as everyone else, and without context, I totally get it,” she said. “But there’s over 18 hours of footage you didn’t see. I’ll be sharing a tell-all soon, so stay tuned! Just a little reminder — this is a reality TV show, heavily edited to get the highest ratings, and I earned the villain badge by refusing to conform.

“It’s not real life guys, so don’t take it too personally! It’s out of my control, so I’m fully embracing it – the good, the bad and the ugly!”.

A MAFS producer has commented on the whole “edit” drama and said they followed the story – and Tamara – as it happened. “We decided very early on, right from the beginning, that we were just going to follow the story,” they told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
