There has been a ‘tragic accident’ on University Park Campus at Nottingham University in which a student has died in an e-bike crash.

It has been reported by Nottinghamshire Live that an 18-year-old student has died after an accident involving two e-bikes.

The victim is said to be a young woman who sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. However, despite the best efforts by medical teams, she could not be saved. Her parents have been informed.

There was a “heavy police presence” at the scene at East Drive’s junction with Keighton Hill this morning with a cordon placed around the area. According to a reporter at the scene, two Lime bikes could be seen within the cordon.
