Marcel admits there was an exact moment he wanted to QUIT All Stars, for a tragic reason
He nearly walked way before he was dumped
Marcel Somerville has admitted there was a point in the villa at which he wanted to quit Love Island All Stars. He was in the original lineup of the cast this year, but was dumped alongside Olivia Hawkins.
When the show first started, which now feels like a million years ago, the biggest drama was that Marcel was in the villa with ex Gabby. Awkward because they split when he cheated on her. This was the first time they’d met up since, and the former couple hadn’t spoken in years.
Marcel said seeing Gabby in the villa was obviously a shock, but he had some dark points in there where he wondered if it was all worth it. Speaking to The Mirror, Marcel said it was only on day one of Love Island All Stars when he thought he might quit.
“Walking in, you’re not expecting to see your ex, but then at the same time I was like, ‘Ah it’s my ex’,” he said. Marcel admitted he was a “little taken aback” by how bad things were between himself and Gabby, and he struggled being back in the environment they’d first met in.
“In the back of my mind, I knew there was always a possibility [Gabby could be on the show] but I was hoping that the possibility wasn’t there,” he said. “I feel like if she wasn’t there, it would have been a different situation for me. The first day was the red flag game, and she had been in there talking to all the girls before, so I had an X on me already, and it was a hard way to start the show.”

He then sweetly confessed he’d considering walking, in order to let his ex have a better experience. “On the first day I did have moments where I was like, ‘Maybe I should leave as I want Gabby to have a good time’,” Marcel said. He changed his mind after they had some chats, and settled things.
Then, Marcel was dumped and Casey has since entered as a bombshell for Gabby. I guess it worked out then!
