All the hard evidence Detective Jun-ho is the real villain of Squid Game

If Jun-ho has one hater it’s me

Squid Game 2 left us with way more questions than answers. We met 455 brand-new players, watched two new games, and saw the players revolt. One character who got a hell of a lot of screen time this season was Detective Jun-ho, but that’s not to say he’s been popular. People online have been quick to point out that Jun-ho made so many mistakes that literally changed the course of the story. Here’s all the hard evidence that Detective Jun-ho is the real villain of Squid Game.

He didn’t tell Gi-hun that his brother was the Front Man

Seriously, so much of the drama in Squid Game 2 could have been avoided if Jun-ho had just told Gi-hun that his brother was the Front Man. Why on earth would he leave such vital information out of the picture? Gi-hun would have been one step ahead of everyone and could have stopped the games from the moment he stepped into them.

He left his mother worrying about In-ho

At the beginning of Squid Game 2, Jun-ho’s mother is visibly upset about not hearing from her other son, In-ho, for years. In-ho could have put all her worries aside and told her that he’d seen him and he was alive, even if he omitted a lot of the truth. Instead, she’s left in the dark, just like Sang-woo’s mother from season one.

He didn’t keep the police informed, however unhelpful they were

In both season one and two of Squid Game, Detective Jun-ho is a true villain for going rogue. Although he struggles to get the police on his side, being a single agent doesn’t do anything for him. Now, he’s got his own team of Gi-hun, Captain Park and the gang who were looking for the recruiter: The first is back in the games, the second is a traitor and the third are getting killed off as we speak. Not a great lineup and the police have absolutely no idea what’s going on.

He wasn’t suspicious enough of Captain Park

Now we know the truth about Captain Park, it’s wild that DETECTIVE Jun-ho didn’t think to be suspicious of him at all. Are you telling me he literally found him on Squid Game island but couldn’t remember his way back there? And he’s been sailing the same sea for 30 years? Even I wouldn’t buy that.
