These are officially the druggiest UK university courses
I’m now wary of all dentists
It’s a joke as old as time that arts students are hippy stoners and physics students are hermits who shun all parties. Well, The Tab’s new drugs survey can definitively prove that these particular stereotypes are extremely true. Here’s a ranking of the uni courses where students do the most drugs.
The Tab surveyed almost 6,000 students from 86 unis across the UK about their drugs and vaping habits. You can read which Rusell Group unis do the most drugs here (spoiler: it’s Manchester).
Education students are officially the least likely to take drugs at uni. and by a long way. I am relieved on behalf of all future schoolchildren. What is a tad alarming is that dentistry is the second druggiest UK university course. You’d think that people who work in healthcare would be too responsible to use drugs? Apparently not.
The druggiest UK uni subject is art and design. What a surprise (not). Er, I guess all that creative inspiration has to come from somewhere?
This data was analysed by Constance Vielma. Each uni course has been assigned a “drugs score”, which takes into account how many students on that course said they took drugs, and how often they said they did it.
So, here are the druggiest UK university courses, ranked.
