Wait, I’m A Celeb’s Barry is the son of a music legend?! So that’s why he can sing
He shocked everyone with that karaoke voice
Last night’s I’m A Celeb saw the campmates do a dance challenge to gain entry to the famous Jungle Arms.
They all completed the trial and went to the jungle pub, where they were greeted with beer, nibbles, and karaoke.
Danny nailed Bon Jovi’s Livin on a Prayer and Grace butchered McFly’s It’s All About You, but Barry caught everyone by surprise.
The boxing legend started off the karaoke session, performing Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison – and he was actually really good.
Barry then went in for round two, helping Danny sing Chuck Berry’s Johnny B. Goode, and he impressively harmonised the vocals.
Everyone rushed to say the same thing on social media: “Wait, Barry can sing?” Yes, because his dad was a music legend!

Pat McGuigan, who died from cancer in 1987 at just 52 years old, represented Ireland in the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest.
He came fourth in the famous singing competition, performing a song called Chance of a Lifetime which shot to number one in the Irish charts.
After Eurovision, he released many albums and songs but never reached the Irish Top 20 again. His biggest track was a cover of the folk song Danny Boy.
In 2014, Barry told the Daily Express that his dad had a huge influence on his boxing career.
“I’d started boxing as a young boy and although my parents hadn’t been keen on me becoming a professional boxer, they could see I had real talent – and my dad always said I should do what I loved,” he said.

“Over the years he drummed into me the importance of hard work and passion. I felt the same way about boxing as Dad did about singing, and I pushed myself hard to become the best.”
Having a good voice must run in the McGuigan blood, and his amazing karaoke skills definitely make a lot more sense now.
