Maura’s mum ’embarrassed’ by Maura’s I’m A Celeb claim that they discuss her sex life

After Maura’s shocking sex revelations on I’m A Celeb on Monday night, her mum opened up on how Maura always tells her way too much about her personal life.

On Monday’s show, Maura told GK Barry that she always tells her mum everything about her love life: “and if I slept with a guy, my mum will ask me, ‘well, what was he like in the bed?’ and she will get every gory detail.” Maura made it seem as though she and her mum were very candid about the details of her personal life.

However, Sharon, Maura’s mum, had a very different perspective and claimed it was often the other way around. She explained to The Mirror: “I would say to her on Facetime, ‘is everything okay? Are you happy in all aspects of your relationship?’ And she would always try and embarrass me by saying this, that and the other and I would say, ‘too much information. I don’t need to know, I don’t need to know.’ She likes to make me embarrassed.”

However, she did recognise that Maura felt comfortable enough to open up with her campmates in the jungle.

“I think Maura is always going to be Maura. She’s obviously comfortable in her surroundings, with the people she’s with, and she feels free to be able to chat about anything,” she said.

Sharon also confirmed that Maura has spoken to her about Pete but only to say that they were “good friends.”

She continued: “Well, I think she has clarified that herself, like all I know is what she has told me, which is that they’re good friends, and she supports her friends, just like they support her, which is, you know, it’s a lovely thing. She’s on the dating scene. That’s all she has told me. So that’s all I can go by.”
