Photos have emerged of a Durham student wearing a mask of American rap artist and alleged sex offender Sean Combs, better known by his stage name P. Diddy.

Believed to have been worn as part of a Halloween costume, photos of the student were taken at a Halloween nightclub event on November 1st.

Held at Jimmy Allen’s nightclub, the event attracted students in fancy dress, where photos of the student were taken just before 1am.

Combs has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. His case has been at the forefront of international media in the past three months.

This is not the first reported incident of university students dressing up for nights out in the form of Combs. A student at San Diego State University (SDSU) in the United States is under investigation from SDSU for his costume that involved a bottle of baby oil and blackface.

Photos were taken in the nightclub at 00:48 in the early hours of Friday morning, and appear to be situated on the back-left hand side of the dance floor, based on the artwork seen in the background of images.

The club, located on Elvet Bridge in the city centre, attracted a number of other students in Halloween costumes, who can be seen in the background.

Jimmy Allen’s has been contacted for comment.
