It’s all perfectly in time for Halloween, to be honest. You have definitely seen the saga or one of the endless edits on your FYP – because everyone’s obsessed with it and it’s inescapable right now. Here are the full origins of the “Fiona is that a ghost behind you” TikTok saga – for historical documentation purposes.

The video emerged after a screen recording was taken of a live, where a woman who has yet to be identified was on a conversation with another follower of TikTok medium James Bucknell. On the live, @midnightjamesbucknell did a live with the unknown woman and thought a spirit was in the background because a pale face can be seen lingering over the shoulder. This was not a sighting of anything paranormal however, but a rather disgruntled and pissed off daughter of the woman.

Who, understandably, was a bit miffed she was called a ghost. The original video has been deleted, but you can watch it on YouTube here.
