‘The only knot he’ll tie’: Tommy’s first post since Molly-Mae split plagued with savage comments

His pic has 250k likes… Molly’s first post since has 1.8million

Tommy Fury has shared his first Instagram post since it was announced he had split from Molly-Mae Hague and they had broken off their engagement. Surprise surprise, the comments section really is something.

Straight after the couple announced they had gone their separate ways after five years together, it was rumoured Tommy had cheated on Molly-Mae, which he has since denied. In a statement provided by his reps, Tommy said he is “distraught” by claims being made against him.

A spokesperson for Tommy said: “Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers.” He said he knows the allegations “couldn’t be further from the truth.”

Now, on the same day Molly-Mae shared her first post since the breakup announcement, Tommy did too. In his, he doubled-down on denying all allegations against him. The post was captioned: “These last few weeks have been heartbreaking. The false allegations about me have been horrendous, thank you to everybody who has stood by me through this.”

However, the comments don’t really look as though many people have stood by him through this. A lot of people are rinsing him for thinking it was a good idea to pose whilst tying his shoes up, like that would be the emotional and meaningful first post back we were all hoping for. Maybe the shoe tie is metaphoric? Who told him to do that? Who took the photo? Did Tommy ask them to grab the snap whilst he posed? Many questions.

Most of the other comments are ripping into him even further. “The only knot he’s going to tie now,” one person savagely said, referencing their called off marriage. “I stand by Molly Mae,” added another.

Some other messages include “we don’t believe you”, “‘ere mate take a picture of me looking sad and tying my shoes”, “Alexa play the smallest man who ever lived” and “WE STAND WITH MOLLY MAE.” However, Jack Fincham who won Love Island the year before Tommy and Molly-Mae were on it sent his love.

Tommy’s first post back after the split currently has just under 250k likes, whereas Molly’s now has 1.8million. “Thank you for being the best online friends I could’ve ever wished for,” she said in her post.
