Cancelled shows and book deals: How his breakup is already a career disaster for Tommy Fury
He really isn’t going to come out of this well
Since their breakup was announced, the UK hasn’t stopped talking about Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. They were our Love Island 2019 sweethearts, and an Instagram split announcement we were never expecting to see.
But following the news of them calling off their engagement it’s becoming more and more clear that the person who is going to come out of this the worst is Tommy Fury. Molly-Mae is the blueprint of influencing, and is a CEO and businesswoman. However, experts have said Tommy Fury’s career is now heading for a pretty nasty decline.

Some people might remember that a while back, it was said Molly-Mae and Tommy had lined up their own TV show, following the success of At Home With The Furys on Netflix. The couple were apparently in talks with Amazon Prime to “do a fly-on-the-wall show” to give a “closer look into everything that goes on behind the scenes” in their relationship and careers. Since their breakup, it’s been reported all plans for the show have been axed.
An expert has revealed the breakup won’t do well for Tommy Fury getting brand deals, either
Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae make loads of their huge fortune through brand deals, and partnerships on Instagram. Experts have said that post breakup this career will still be lucrative for Molly-Mae, but for Tommy Fury it’s not looking as good.
Finance advisor Adam Garcia, from The Stock Dork, told The Tab: “Tommy Fury could face substantial financial losses as a result of the split, particularly due to the potential impact on his brand partnerships. Estimates suggest that his earnings could decrease by up to 40 per cent without the association with Molly-Mae, whose influence in the fashion and social media spaces has been a significant factor in their joint appeal to brands. This could affect his attractiveness to brands that were primarily interested in the couple’s combined influence.
“Molly-Mae’s strong personal brand is expected to remain stable, providing her with continued opportunities, while Tommy may face more challenges in maintaining his current level of income and influence.”
His book deal is in tatters
In one of the last vlogs Molly-Mae did before announcing she and Tommy Fury were going through a breakup, she mentioned he had been spending time recording his audiobook, which meant they had been spending a lot of time apart.
In a savage turn of events it could have all been for nothing, as it’s been reported the publishers of his autobiography are in “crisis talks” about it, because it features glowing chapters about Molly-Mae. His book, titled Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life As a Fury, is due for release in October and has already been cut in price from £25 to £12.50.
A source told The Sun: “There’s major concern over the impact of the revelations. The price has been reduced already and this new storm is making it harder to sell — especially given all his gushing about his life with Molly-Mae and their daughter Bambi. Without a new chapter, the book is outdated. Meetings are ongoing about what can be done to turn it around.” Apparently publishers are keen to get the book contents updated to mention the split.
The description for the book awkwardly says: “He shares unfiltered stories about his experience on Love Island, candid insight into his life at home with Molly-Mae and their daughter Bambi, and a glimpse behind the scenes of what life is like as part of the UK’s most popular family – including never-before-seen personal photos.”
Plus, the home Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae lived in wasn’t in his name
It’s not looking good for splitting their assets after their breakup either, because Molly-Mae is reportedly listed as the sole owner of the £3.5million Cheshire home she lived in with Tommy Fury. He has reportedly already left the house they shared, but details obtained by the Mirror reveal it was Molly who bought the property for £3.8million in April 2022.
